Settling Space:
Our Future or Our Peril?
"The exploration and use of outer space, including the Moon and other celestial bodies, shall be carried out for the benefit and in the interests of all countries, irrespective of their degree of economic or scientific development, and shall be the province of all mankind."
OUTER SPACE TREATY, 1967
2025 THEME
How is our future in space being shaped by the legacies of our past, the challenges of our present, and the opportunities and risks of our future?
Join us this April at Duke for our first ever space symposium as we discuss the key questions framing the future of settlements beyond Earth. This will be a multi-disciplinary, open dialogue among invited expert speakers, faculty and students. All perspectives are welcome.
